Common Questions

What are your weekend services like?

Every weekend at CCjaxNC you will find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. You’ll also find a printed outline for notes in your worship guide that will help you make the most of each week’s teaching. Children are well cared for in a loving, quality Kids Konnection service.

What will happen when I visit for the first time?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile – and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the atmosphere and see if CCjaxNC is for you.

What do I wear to attend your services?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Sunday service. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Calvary Church is not about what you look like or what you wear.

Where are you located?

Calvary Church is located at 3980 Gum Branch Road. Click here for directions.

Do you have a midweek service?

We do not have a midweek service. We do, however, offer life groups throughout the community. For more information check our Life Groups page.

What about my children?

At CCjaxNC your children are a top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children’s ministry called Kids Konnection as well as life-changing ministry to students from Junior high through High School.

How can I meet others and get connected?

There are many ways to get involved at CCjaxNC. You can begin by completing our Heart & Soul Course. Life groups are another way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the church and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.

Why do you have life groups?

Life groups are an important part of Calvary Church; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you have experienced our life groups. Life Groups allow you to meet other people and develop relationship that will support your relationship with God. As CCjaxNC grows, groups all us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests–there’s bound to be one group that is just right for you. Learn more about why were big on being small or find a group to visit on our Life Groups page.

How can I be discipled and grow?

Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our Next Step classes offer the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, to your involvement in life-changing ministry as a connector, we will lead you step by step into growth and leadership. Visit the Heart & Soul page to learn more.
